I’ve been thinking about starting a blog for a while now, and have been slowly building up ideas, thoughts and inspiration to share with this sorta anonymous world. In the end, I hope to show people that life can be real. Real messy and real fun!
So much of social media is portraying yourself in a way that others see you and appreciate or respect your lifestyle, and I want to debunk the theory that life is as perfect as it seems on Facebook! Come on now, we all know it’s not. We craft the perfect instagram photo and spend an hour coming up with a caption to get less likes than the one time your dad did something silly and you caught it on camera.
My passions are all over the place, but I felt that “A little bit of love” summarized my intentions well. This world should be a place where people feel loved. Through design, through our actions, and through a little laughter. Why? Because God loves YOU so dearly that he sent Jesus as a sacrifice for your sinful nature! I know that because of his greatest example, we should pour into our world with the same kind of love. That love that loves expecting nothing in return, when they least deserve it, even when you’re too busy, too exhausted, too broke, too _______. Pick anything.
My challenge to you is to find a way to love someone in a new way. Embrace the person God made you to be–there is such beauty in seeing someone live up to their potential! Love your annoying coworkers, your doting parents, your needy spouse, your rowdy kiddos. Sometimes the smallest, most unexpected act of service means the most to the people in our lives.
It is a privilege and honor to serve him by loving others.
Ephesians 2:4-5 “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—“
